The judge presiding over the sexual assault case involving five members of Canada's 2018 world junior hockey team is set to deliver her verdict on Thursday.

The players are unrestricted free agents but will not be eligible to sign with a team until the NHL has conducted its own review.

Hockey Canada announced today that Philadelphia Flyers Head Coach Rick Tocchet has been named assistant coach of Team Canada for the 2026 Olympic Games. Tocchet is one of four assistant coaches alongside Bruce Cassidy (Vegas Golden Knights), Peter DeBoer, and Misha Donskov. The tournament is set to take place from Feb. 6-22 in Italy.

Canada won the 4 Nations Face-off in February, with Tocchet part of the same coaching group that will lead Canada in Milan.
