Apple has quietly updated its “Face with Medical Mask” emoji with friendlier eyes, eyebrows, and rosy cheeks. It appears to be Apple’s “Smiling Face” emoji, with a mask on top.

The Emoji's official name is "Face with Medical Mask" and it was added to iPhone iOS in 2008. Apple's move to alter the symbol follows Samsung, which gave its users a happier face mask emoji in March.

Apple users will soon be able to express themselves with a new emoji that seems to be in good spirits, wearing a mask to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
