The shooting happened just before 4 a.m. Tuesday on Sunset Court in San Jose's Alum Rock neighborhood. Police said that officers found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died. The suspect remains at large and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

An ensuing investigation determined that the victim and alleged shooter knew each other, and detectives soon identified a suspect. Around 3:25 a.m. Sunday, police served an arrest warrant at a home in South San Jose and arrested the suspect, who police did not name publicly as of Monday.

An early morning shooting in San Jose left one person dead on Tuesday, San Jose Police said. Just before 4 a.m., officers went to the 90 block of Sunset Court after it was reported someone had been shot.
