The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is pushing back on a recent study that found reproductive health care at the region’s only women’s jail to be lacking.

One of the study's predictions suggested that about 98,000 reproductive individuals shrunk to 1,280 reproductive individuals some 930,000 years ago, creating a bottleneck in the population.
