Red Line train service is suspended between Dupont Circle and Gallery Place until Saturday, Dec. 30 at 7 a.m. Farragut North will be closed, and Red Line trains won't serve Metro Center.
The project, which will cut Red Line service from Gallery Place to Dupont Circle, will take place from Dec. 18 to Dec. 30, when Metro says ridership is historically about 40 percent below normal.
Starting Monday through Dec. 30, there will be no Red Line Service between Dupont Circle and Gallery Place, with Farragut North and the Red Line level of Metro Center closing.
Metro's construction team used more than eight tons of concrete and 466 pounds of rebar to rebuild the Red Line tunnel ceiling to prevent concrete from falling onto trains.
Red Line service between Dupont Circle and Union Station will be shut down due to extended work, as well as between Farragut North and Judiciary Square, Metro said.
