Rev. Dr. Lordson Dagba, Optometrist Rev. Dr. Lordson Dagba disclosed that out of 169 eye cases, 64 surgeries were conducted for glaucoma, pterigium, and cataract patients among others.

If the pterygium has grown significantly, the patient might notice a white spot on the eye. Pterygia can also become raised, which contributes to the scratchy, irritated feeling.
