A man has been charged in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer in Clydebank. Officers responded to reports of a man with a weapon outside a pub on Glasgow Road at about 21:25 on Friday. No-one was injured, but a 52-year-old man was arrested and is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday.

The protest was held in support of Imam Ayman Soliman, an Egyptian immigrant and Cincinnati Children's chaplain who was detained by ICE.
