Betty’s journey to the stage has been an unusual one. The original character didn’t have much of a back story, which has made her an appealing blank slate for storytellers.
“ Boop! The Betty Boop Musical ” just made its world debut this past weekend at Broadway in Chicago’s CIBC Theater at 18 W. Monroe Street. It runs through Dec. 24. Tickets can be purchased here.
