A $1.45-million government grant will help communities in the Okanagan create digital maps of the landscape to help prepare for flooding, officials announced Tuesday.

For the past 15 years, the Okanagan Nation Alliance (ONA) says it has been partnering on the project with a Washington state-based Indigenous group known as the Colville Confederated Tribes (CCT).
