More details are coming to light after a 27-year-old man was pulled from Naperville's popular Centennial Beach last week.

An investigation was underway in Naperville on Friday after a 27-year-old man drowned when he tried to swim to a dock at Centennial Beach, authorities said.

Centennial Beach has been as a public swimming facility since 1932. It’s actually part of a former limestone quarry that was in use until 1913, according to a Naperville Park District website.
