Mondo grass isn't a true grass, but it will truly grow well in the shade of a large tree to help cover exposed roots. Consider this plant for shady spots.
A. As the pecans and oaks in my landscape have grown larger, I have converted to mondo grass in my landscape. We probably have 7,500 square feet of it in our rural landscape.
