Microsoft is toying with the idea of replacing the "Show desktop" button in the bottom-right corner of the screen with Copilot. The proposed change is rolling out to Insiders in the Dev Channel.

Microsoft is leaning into this phenomenon more than other companies its size. It recently added its Copilot AI assistant to Windows 11 and will soon bring it to its ubiquitous Office 365 suite.

According to reports from Edge users, the icon appeared after updating Edge to version 121.0.2277.128, and can be seen in the top-right corner of the screen, just below the Close (x) box.
