Video taken by a helicopter has captured close-up views of Hawaii's Mauna Loa volcano erupting for the first time since 1984, sending lava spewing into the air.

Mauna Loa Helicopters, which currently has 32 flight instructors across its various campuses, plans to send a group of instructors to Air Methods’ training program on a quarterly basis.
