There is new insight and both in-universe and real-world reasons behind Magic: The Gathering changing a popular plane's name to Avishkar.

The Magic: The Gathering plane formerly known as Kaladesh has been changed to Avishkar in the upcoming Aetherdrift line.

The Magic the Gathering website said that "Aetherdrift" will take place on the plane of Avishkar, formerly known as Kaladesh, and will center around a multiplanar race to the finish-line.
