Erie Insurance Arena was originally called the Erie Civic Center and then Louis J. Tullio Arena in honor of the late mayor who championed the inception of the venue.

The daughter of the late Louis J. and Mary Cecilia (McHale) Tullio, Eiswerth grew up in Erie. Her father was an icon in Erie politics who served six terms and 24 years as Erie’s mayor.
