In an effort to provide more equitable outdoor access to all Californians, residents can now use their library cards to gain free entry to more than 200 state parks, officials announced this week.

The top two winning designs will be added to library cards for the “Summer of Discovery” program. Entries must use a paper form or high-resolution digital image.

This is the second art card that the LA Public Library has released. The first was in 2016 by artist Shepard Fairey. Only 100,000 were made and are available at all 73 locations.
