ROCKFORD, Ill. (WREX) — One year today, 18-year-old Jason Jenkins lost his life after a racially motivated stabbing. He was attacked while working at the Walmart on North Ridge Drive.

Former Miami Dolphins senior vice president Jason Jenkins will posthumously receive the 2025 Award of Excellence from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, according to ex-NFL executive Joe Browne.
