SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Just ahead of Halloween, some cute little characters have been spotted at the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Jacobs Medical Center at UC San Diego Health.

At 12:29 a.m., a mom welcomed a new son, Luca, at Jacobs Medical Center at UC San Diego Health — the health care provider’s first infant delivered in 2025.

Jacobs Medical Center and Hillcrest Medical Center at UC San Diego Health have been named Top 25 hospitals in the nation for exceptional sustainability efforts.
