The Walt Disney Co.’s Disney+ Hotstar streaming service has unveiled a slate of original programming for India made up of 16 series and four films.

Disney+ Hotstar also reported “strong viewership momentum” for other cricket properties, including the Asia Cup 2022, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, and ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.

Disney+ Hotstar is currently India’s biggest streamer although its subscription base dropped by 6% to 57.5 million during the quarter ended December 31, 2022.

Disney also stated that the target for core Disney+ subscribers (not including Disney+ Hotstar) remains in the ballpark of previous forecasts of 135 million to 165 million by the close of fiscal 2024.
