New students filled the halls of Solis Park School in Irvine on the first day of school Thursday, Aug. 18, breaking in the latest — and, for now, last — new campus to be built in the city.

The school is one of two new educational facilities slated to be built at the Great Park. Portola High School is planned to open in fall 2016 at the park’s northeast edge.
