As confirmed in Marvel's huge Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement, Channing Tatum will be returning to the MCU as Gambit, which, although this has left fans excited, many are concerned over how the hero will be presented in the upcoming movie.

Doomsday via a lengthy livestream that confirmed a further 26 actors set to appear in the superhero movie as well as the start of production. Among the surprises, Channing Tatum will reprise his role as X-Men fan-favorite Gambit.
The playful presentation offered some fan-favorite touches, such as a tiny chair for Paul Rudd, signifying his Ant-Man role. Meanwhile, the inclusion of iconic X-Men actors like Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen hints at a significant crossover, igniting speculation that Avengers: Doomsday could potentially explore an Avengers vs. X-Men narrative.
What had fans in a frenzy was the revelation that original X-Men actors such as Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto) and even Channing Tatum (Gambit) were added to the very long list of fan favorite mutants returning to the big screen and joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe for it’s latest epic.
