The new deal will enable BHEL to provide General Electric’s state-of-the-art gas turbines that can run on sustainable fuel blends like hydrogen, methanol, syngas etc. to its customers.

GE Vernova recently announced an expansion of its Greenville, S.C. facility to accommodate what the company calls “historic” demand for gas turbines from new and existing customers.

International energy provider Uniper, based in Dusseldorf, Germany, is collaborating with GE Vernova to upgrade three GT26 gas turbines at the Grain power station in Kent, in the southeast of England.

At the core of the package is the LM6000, a 44.7-MW to 56-MW aeroderivative gas turbine launched in 1988, derived from GE’s CF6-80C2 high bypass turbofan aircraft engine.
