Floridians are enjoying a welcome break at the pump as average gas prices across the state have dropped below $3 per gallon, the lowest they've been since December of 2023.

In a surprising turn of events, the average gas price in Florida has dipped below $3 per gallon, marking the lowest level since December 2023. This decline offers a much-needed respite for drivers, as prices have fallen 13 cents from last week and 55 cents compared to the same time last year.

Florida gas prices have dropped below the $3 mark for the first time this year. AAA reported on Sunday that a gallon of regular gasoline averaged $2.97. That average fell another penny on Monday.
