Gardaí have released a man without charge in relation to the death of a woman found in a bathroom of a ferry that arrived at Rosslare Europort on Tuesday evening.

Gardaí (Irish police) have released without charge a man who was arrested in connection with the death of a woman on board a ferry sailing from Wales to Ireland. The incident occurred on Tuesday, on the 14:00 GMT Stena Line sailing from Fishguard to Rosslare in County Wexford.

The woman whose death aboard a ferry bound for Rosslare is at the centre of a major Garda investigation has been named locally as 39-year-old Mary Cash. Sources close to the investigation said that Ms Cash was part of a group of people travelling to the port in Co Wexford on a ferry that departed from Fishguard in Wales on Tuesday.
