With Zach Cregger scouting locations in Europe, it’s almost certain that the upcoming reboot will not feature the game’s most iconic location.

The surprisingly robust Resident Evil film franchise has never been especially kind to any of its stars whose names weren’t Milla Jovovich, having chewed through a pretty massive amount of actors/zombie fodder since the first movie came out back in 2002.

There's currently no word about which character Abrams will play in the Resident Evil film. Assuming that the the movie will be based on the early games, that could mean he'd be portraying Chris Redfield or Leon Kennedy. If the film is based on anything after Resident Evil 7, then perhaps Abrams could step into the role of Ethan Winters.
