A Danish Member of the European Parliament had some pointed words for President Donald Trump. As he did during his first term, Trump has expressed interest in attempting to acquire Greenland – the large and autonomous Danish territory between Canada and Iceland. Politicians in Denmark and Greenland have said the territory is not for sale.

President Trump said Denmark will “come along” on the potential sale of Greenland and emphasized the U.S. and others need the Arctic island to fortify international security in the region. “Greenland is a wonderful place.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly said he wants to seize Greenland to take advantage of its strategic location and vast natural resources.
