Two DFS delivery drivers have been fined more than £2,000 for taking money to dispose of an old sofa but instead just dumped it in a forest.

Susan, 47, said: “I purchased the sofa from DFS in 2020. Basically the sofa I’ve got is a corner sofa, I had to save up for it, it’s nearly £900.

I ordered a new sofa in my local DFS store in January 2023, but I have still yet to receive all the correct parts. I paid £254 as a deposit in the store, and another £1,000 in April.
