The Village of Lansing has achieved bronze status in New York’s Climate Smart Communities program, unlocking access to grants and resources for sustainability projects, according to Tompkins Weekly.

OWEGO (WBNG) -- The village of Owego has recently been awarded “bronze status” by the Department of Environmental Conservation for its work of moving to become a smart climate community.

More than $7.3 million in funding to municipalities across the state was announced by Gov. Kathy Hochul Tuesday as part of New York State's Climate Smart Communities grant program.
