It is not just Chinese children trying to get their hands on them: celebrities including Sir David Beckham, an ex-footballer, and Rihanna, a pop star, have gone public with their appreciation.

And it's not just Labubu dolls that will be hit—according to the Toy Association, almost 80 percent of the toys sold in the U.S. are sourced from China.
