If you were hoping the U.S. had turned a corner and more springlike weather was on the way, you’re going to have to hold on a bit longer as the FOX Forecast Center continues to monitor an incredibly active week for winter weather across the nation.

Chicagoland is bracing for a winter storm, with a Winter Storm Watch potentially being upgraded by tonight. Light snow may fall today, but the main storm will arrive Wednesday, bringing 3 to 7 inches of snow and impacting the evening commute.

A winter storm watch is takes effect at 9 a.m. on Wednesday until 3 a.m. on Thursday. Major travel impacts are expected, including air travel. The worst of this storm is expected to hit in the afternoon and evening.
