One bill under consideration by the Florida Legislature would ban phone use by students in schools almost entirely.

While some people like the idea of a school cell phone ban, others see the benefits of letting students have some access to their phones.

Legislation that would prohibit public school students from using cell phones and other wireless communication devices during class time cleared a Senate committee Tuesday and could soon be considered by the full Senate.
