The Boston College Eagles (4-3) softball team got back in the win column on Friday morning with a 2-0 win over the Binghamton Bearcats (3-3) in its first game of the day. Both runs for the Eagles came in the fifth inning on the same play.

The No. 2 Florida Gators softball team defeated the Boston College Eagles 12-7 in the Bubly Invitational on a rainy Thursday night at Seashole Pressly Stadium. The Gators (9-0) have outscored opponents 86-16 to begin the season.

Notre Dame needed to end its three-game losing streak in the worst way. A struggling Boston College team seemed like the right team to do that against. It proved to be easier said than done, but the Irish got the job done with a 97-94 win in double overtime,
