The musical director of Black Sabbath's final performance, Tom Morello, has described putting the mammoth metal event together as an "honour". Morello, who is also the guitarist for Rage Against The Machine, said when planning the concert at Villa Park in Birmingham - it was the only venue considered.

In a bittersweet send-off, Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath's farewell concert brought together rock legends and raised a stunning amount for charities.

Black Sabbath received a perk following the Back to the Beginning farewell show on July 5. The daylong event, which marked the final live performance of the Ozzy Osbourne-fronted British heavy metal band, spawned the return of three of the band’s 1970s classic songs to hard rock music charts as well as a major uptick in streams.
