Slow-Cooker Beef Stew - MSNThis slow-cooker beef stew recipe certainly satisfies when it's chilly outside. Each spoonful delivers tender bites of beef, creamy potatoes and chunky vegetables in a rich mustard-seasoned broth.
Beef stew is often better the next day, after ingredients have mingled all night. Let the stew come to room temperature and then refrigerate overnight or up to 3 days.
Add the beef, beef broth and bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook, skimming broth from time to time, until the beef is tender, about 1 ½ hours.
