The Louisiana-based Barksdale has agreed to purchase HomeBank of Arkansas. It is the fourth deal involving the sale of a bank to a credit union in less than two weeks.

A Barksdale Federal Credit Union employee was arrested for theft on Friday for stealing money from customers, including one who was deceased, according to Sheriff Steve Prator.

Founded in 1954, Barksdale Federal Credit Union was established to serve military and civilian personnel at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City.

An accountant with Barksdale Federal Credit Union is facing serious criminal charges, following her arrest for the alleged theft of almost $50,000.

UPDATE: Shreveport police have released the surveillance video from Tuesday's robbery at the Barksdale Federal Credit Union on E. 70th Street.
