Fowler, a vice president at Arlington Baptist University, was elected to the Arlington ISD board in 2018. She won reelection in 2021 with 72% of the vote and became board president in 2022.

Police said they traced the post to 18-year-old Kevin Martinez-Molina, who is not a student at Arlington High School. Martinez-Molina told officers he made the post as a prank, according to police.

The Arlington Fire Department confirmed that it happened around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, near Arlington High School. A student threw some sort of substance on other students.

Arlington ISD is now expected to handle the incident based on its internal policies and procedures. At this time, Arlington ISD has not given an update on the status of the teacher.

Last year, Ja’Shawn Poirier, 16, was shot and killed outside Lamar High School in Arlington on March 20. The shooter, who was not tried as an adult, was sentenced to 40 years in prison in September.
