Melissa Perez, a mother of four, was killed on June 23, 2022 during a confrontation with police at her Southwest Side apartment.

Ahead of a possible September trial, a local judge has ordered the city of San Antonio to release all records in the Melissa Perez case of three ex-SAPD officers charged in her killing.
