Opera’s Android app today launched a feature that’ll block cookie dialog boxes from popping up. The company tested the feature on 15,000 websites and is hoping to test more.
Now, in Android 12, Google is making that process a bit smoother by adding “verified links” that open directly in their designated apps instead of showing a chooser dialog.

Notably, the same dialog appears when tapping the Receive button in the Files by Google app. The Select files to send button, when tapped, also opened our default Android file picker.
Version 48 of Opera Browser for Android automatically blocks cookie dialog boxes. The update also includes new startup options and small UI fixes. The update is rolling out now.
