In games 1 and 2, the Oilers went for that power-versus-power matchup of McDavid-Barkov. In 22 combined five-on-five minutes between the two games in Edmonton, the Oilers were the better team.

Both men are young (22) and not yet in their peak value seasons. As much as McDavid could help Los Angeles, the Kings (or any acquiring team) would be adding a player who is exiting his peak seasons.
