Allosaurus is a type of dinosaur dating from the Late Jurassic (Morrison Formation, 155 to 145 million years ago), that lived primarily in what is now Western North America.

This Jurassic-era Allosaurus skull was found at Dinosaur National Monument, Utah. Allosaurus fossils with bite marks on them suggest to researchers that the dinosaur cannibalized its dead.
