Lies of P is an award-winning game that reimagines the story of Pinocchio as a soulslike action roleplaying game set in a grimy world overrun by killer mechanical puppets. And starting Aug. 5, all PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to play that award-winning game, and others, at no additional cost.

The PS Plus Essential August 2025 games have been announced, with Lies of P, Day Z and My Hero Academia: One's Justice 2 all set to be available to download in just a few days' time

PlayStation has revealed this month's batch of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. All PS Plus members will be able to claim a trio of freebies starting August 5: Lies of P, DayZ, and My Hero: One's Justice 2. If you haven't claimed July's PlayStation Plus free games yet, make sure to do so before next Tuesday.
