Suzanne Collins is taking us back to Panem with a fifth installation in The Hunger Games book series, but this time, she’s taking us back in time to 24 years prior to the events of the main trilogy.

It takes place during the 50th Hunger Games, which is set 24 years before Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark’s reaping in the first book and 40 years after “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
