The Air Force Surgeon General's new memo calls for a reset and reevaluation of all airmen's shaving profiles starting March 1 after a service member's most recent health assessment.

The Air Force is resetting the expiration dates on waivers for airmen and guardians with shaving exemptions, or profiles, according to a memo from service’s surgeon general.

The guidance, made public by the Air Force Surgeon General's Office on Tuesday, said there is an increased risk of miscarriage within that first 12-week window.
