A Connecticut father has been arrested after his 4-month-old daughter died from medical neglect with necrotizing appendicitis and chronic malnutrition.

Norwalk police said they have arrested a man in connection with the death of his baby daughter after determining that malnutrition and neglect contributed to her death. The investigation started on June 11 when a man called 911 and said a 4-month-old baby was choking on formula and he had done CPR for several minutes.

Norwalk police say 27-year-old Kyle Vigneault is accused of causing the death of a four-month-old via medical and nutritional neglect.
