As a reminder, the (MJ) Jeep Comanche was the two-door pickup truck version of the 1984 to 2001 Jeep Cherokee compact SUV, albeit produced by the American carmaker solely between 1985 and 1992.
Jeep also offered it with a four-cylinder diesel built by Renault. The truck was discontinued in 1992 after a little more than 190,000 units sold over eight model years.
Chrysler and AMC produced 25,000 Comanches annually from 1985 to 1989, but the numbers went down to 5,100 units per year in 1991. And by 1992, the Jeep Comanche was history (via The New York Times).
