The Brewers could pair the 30-year-old Jansen with starting catcher William Contreras, a two-time All Star who has been less productive at the plate this season. Though Jansen is batting just .204, he has posted an .820 OPS against left-handed pitchers. Contreras has produced a .625 OPS since June 1.
