Police say a female student has been fatally shot in a Nashville high school cafeteria. Nashville Police spokesperson Don Aaron says the 17-year-old shooter wounded another student Wednesday at Antioch High School before turning the gun on himself.

Police said the suspect sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound and the school district said Antioch High School is on lockdown.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said two students were shot by another student in the cafeteria at Antioch High School. One of the victims, identified as 16-year-old Josselin Corea Escalante, died from her injuries. The suspected shooter was identified as 17-year-old Solomon Henderson.
