Shikhar Dhawan is the latest former Indian cricketer to pull out of the upcoming WCL 2025 match against Pakistan.

Retired Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan shared a screenshot of the email sent on his behalf to organisers about his refusal to participate in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) game against Pakistan. Dhawan revealed that he had sent a mail on May 11 and took to X, claiming that he stands by the decision even now to not play against Pakistan.

Dhawan, who announced his retirement in August 2024, was not a part of the inaugural edition of the World Championship of Legends, recognised by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), that the India Champions had won beating Pakistan by five wickets in the final.
