Last week, Nintendo gave us our first official look at Switch 2 and threw in a '2025' release window for good measure. While the House of Mario is yet to be more specific with its release date, publisher and accessory manufacturer Nacon has shared some narrower expectations (thanks, VGC ).

While other third-party accessory makers teased the Nintendo Switch 2 before the official announcement, Nacon is the first to go on the record with a release window. Other companies like Genki — which got in trouble for its CES stunt — have listed Switch 2 accessories are coming on their websites.

Nintendo hasn’t said when the Switch 2 release date is, beyond a vague 2025 window. However, Nacon has said it expects the console to arrive in the first half of its 2025/2026 fiscal year.

The Switch 2 might not be a radical reinvention of what came before, but Nintendo’s new hardware does sport some unique quirks, distinguishing it from the original handheld hybrid that arrived back in 2017.
