A sort of Achilles heel for IU women's basketball has been a tendency to fall apart in the fourth quarter. That didn't happen Sunday against Nebraska.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Nebraska Athletics Press Release) - Freshman Britt Prince scored 11 of her game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter to help Nebraska escape from Mackey Arena with a 74-68 women’s basketball win over Purdue on Thursday night.

A 13-0 run that included Henna Sandvik’s 3-pointer to end the first quarter and a series of 3-pointers by Moore-McNeil and Garzon permanently put the Cornhuskers to rest. Indiana led 30-14 at the end of that surge and 36-24 at halftime.

Indiana women's basketball led by as many as 18 points in the second quarter, allowing the Hoosiers to cruise to a win over Nebraska on Sunday afternoon.

The Hoosiers extended their lead to as many as 21 points over the latter half of the fourth quarter, eventually securing a 16-point victory. The win marks Indiana’s first inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall since defeating Wisconsin on Dec. 28, 2024.

Indiana women’s basketball has gotten back to its winning ways with back-to-back victories over Washington and Nebraska. The Hoosiers had entered something of a slump with losses to Illinois and USC at home followed up with one at Oregon in the first game of the team’s trip to the Pacific Northwest.

The losing streak in Bloomington for Nebraska women's basketball continues. Indiana topped Nebraska Sunday afternoon, 76-60. The Hoosiers improve to 14-7 on the year and 6-4 in the Big Ten Conference while the Huskers fall to 16-6 overall and 7-4 in the league.
